These Candy Cane Kiss Cookies remind me of Santa’s cap.

‘Tis the Season to be Baking
Each Christmas my granddaughters make cookies. This year Lisa arranged one night for each of the three girls to bake their favorite. Addie picked Candy Cane Kiss Cookies. The cookie, made from Hershey Kisses, have a holiday look and a candy cane taste. They’re colorful, yummy, and perfect for Santa, kids, or holiday guests. And they freeze well.

Getting the measure level takes a good eye and a steady hand.

Addie’s sifting technique is designed for maximum coverage.

Hershey Candy Cane Kisses are available at Target and CVS Pharmacy. (As to storage, see NOTE at bottom of post.)

My granddog, Butter, gets a Christmas treat, too.

Getting the right angle for food photography requires agility. I think Addie shows promise as a food blogger.
NOTE: After you add the kiss on top, immediately put the cookies in the freezer to prevent the kiss from melting all the way. When chilled remove those you’re using immediately and allow the others to freeze. They stay good in the fridge unfrozen up to a week. .
