Apple Pie
Sweet and spicy and brimming with chunks of apples,this pie is truly a slice of Americana...
Ingredients
- 6 to 7 tart apples
- ¾ to 1 cup sugar
- 2 Tbs. flour
- ½ to 1 tsp. cinnamon
- Dash of nutmeg
- Dash salt
- 2 Tbs. butter
- 2 crust pastry
Instructions
- Pare apples and slice thin.
- Combine sugar, flour, spices,and salt; mix with apples.
- Line 9-inch pie pan with unbaked crust. Fold in apple mixture. Dot with butter. Top with second crust.
- Sprinkle top with sugar for sparkle.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 50 minutes.
