Mother Nature can be a capricious rascal. Some years we’re showered with an abundance of garden vegetables. Other years drought, heat, and/or varmints leave little to bring to the table. And because gardeners and farmers are the most hopeful of people, they’re beginning to talk about next year’s planting. I’ve already put in my order for some pink, slicing tomatoes. Fingers crossed.
