Harper and Robin at The Pulitzer Arts museum
It was cold! Even so, a goodly number of people turned out for Stitch & Gather at The Pulitzer on Saturday. Among the designers featured during the textile series was our own SKIF International. owner Nina Ganci. She and her team hosted a pop-up production studio, where visitors could design wearable art, using fabric scraps.
Robin and I, along with a couple of my granddaughters, spent the afternoon cutting, pinning, and sewing to create colorful shirts and bags. Below are photos of our fun afternoon at The Pulitzer.

I’m the Advice-Giver here. It’s a role in which I’ve always excelled.

Coco has taken to needle and thread pretty easily.

Harper and I put our heads together to design this one for me.’

“What d’ya think?”
“My work is utterly incomprehensible and, thus, full of great significance.”~Calvin

On the wild side! Yeah, but now she can say this shirt was once “displayed” at The Pulitzer museum.

Nina Ganci sewed the fabric scraps on the garments once a “designer” was satisfied with a creation.

JC came in handy when one of the sewing machines broke down.

Ta-dah! Shirt completed!

Wonderful!
WhAt fun it was!
