Posing along side my grandson, Andrew, while showing off my new tee shirt. Hmm. . . this may be an excuse to have a watermelon theme party.
I want you to see my new tee shirt. I think it’s perfect for a food blogger. It was designed and drawn on silk by my friend, designer and artist Q Liu. It features a seedy watermelon on the front and a small dragonfly on the back shoulder. I love it! When I wear it, the melon slice distracts from unsightly sags, wrinkles, and bulges that might otherwise capture your attention. What’s more, my grandson, Andrew, said he has no problem being seen with me in a funky tee shirt.

Meet the Designer: Q Liu

Q Liu, fashion designer
Q Liu was born in China and studied contemporary art in Paris before coming to St. Louis. She is best known for her unique, handcrafted clothes and accessories made from felt.
Her felting techniques involve matting together wool and silk using heat, pressure and moisture. I’m so proud to have an original Q Liu, even if it just a tee shirt.
Hooray for painted melon tee shirts. . .creative designers. . . and sweet grandsons!
