While we cut way back on our numbers this Christmas, there was nothing diminished about the food. Take a look at the photos below.

While we waited for the food to cook, this ample cheese board provided a pleasant snack.

Robin puts the finishing touches on the clam chowder.

The chowder gets a topping of crispy bacon and chives.

Using a meat thermometer, Tom cooks wagyu beef to just the right degree of doneness and tops it with a copycat sauce from Tony’s made of wine, shallots, mushrooms, and cream.

Perfect! I had never had wagyu beef before. It was heavenly!

Out come the crab cakes.

JC and Lisa combine the crab cake platter with the roasted broccoli.

Asparagus and prosciutto wrap.

This raspberry cheese cake in phyllo dough was a gift from Lisa’s sister and a big hit.

Lisa and my granddaughters made Christmas cookies during the holidays.

I work off my lunch by starting on a thousand-piece jigsaw puzzle. I didn’t get very far.
