Cyndy tries out my Cutco Cheese Knife.
One of my favorite knives is my Cutco Cheese Knife 1764. It’s misnamed because it can do far more than cut soft, hard, and crumbly cheeses. Like Ed Norton inquiring of Ralph Kramden trying to sell a multipurpose kitchen device, you may ask, “But can it core an apple?”
My answer is, “nearly.” It certainly glides through seeds and cores easily.

Cutco Cheese knife, a welcome addition to any kitchen.

When you need a super thin cut.
How to Be a Cut Up
Anything that’s starchy or sticks to a knife is duck soup for Cutco’s serrated blade. It’s the openings in the blade that makes the difference. Fruits and veggies, such as tomatoes, apples, limes, lemons, root vegetables, squash and cured meats, can be cut super thin.
Josh Mueller, The Knife Man, has a brief YouTube clip on the cheese knife and its many uses.
The Cutco Cheese Knife 1764 can usually be found on line for less than $100.
