Café Bistro is well-hidden on the second floor of Nordstrums department store. In the midst of shopping at the Galleria, it’s good to know there’s a secluded haven to relax and enjoy a salad, which is exactly what my friend and I did this week.
The first feature in the dining room to catch my eye was the display kitchen with the snazzy pizza oven. We drooled as the pizza pies and panini sandwiches passed our table, but we finally chose from the healthier salad offereings. (After all, it’s just mid-January and we both still have a partial commitment to our New Years’ resolutions.) As it turned out, each of the salads was hearty, fresh and flavorful and as thoughtfully presented as the store’s first-floor scarf display.
The warm and inviting café declares a commitment to “quick, friendly, and attentive” service and I would check all three boxes for achievement. I’m sorry I didn’t get more pictures for this post. Those I dine with are getting used to eating cold meals seared by flash burn, but I’m still reluctant to go up to total strangers and ask to photograph their food. Maybe in time . . . .
If you’re looking for a good meal and quiet repose, Café Bistro awaits your pleasure.
