For those of you who look for holidays to celebrate, you may have noticed that last week was Bastille Day (July 14). It marks the day on which Frenchmen stormed the notorious prison and united the French people in a revolution.
Celebrating the City’s French Roots
By coincidence, we wound up dining in one of the city’s finest French restaurants on Bastille Day, along with a Rolla friend and her visiting relative from England. There’s always some concern when selecting the one restaurant where a guest will eat when visiting or passing through the city. You want to literally leave the visitor with a “fine taste in his mouth.” We chose Brasserie for good reason. You can never go wrong with this Central West End bistro for good service, fine food and fond memories.
