Broccoli and Tomatoes
This dish is just the right color for a holiday table.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh broccoli cut into flowerets
- 12 cherry tomatoes halved
- 4 Tbs. butter melted
- 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp. honey optional
- 3 tsp. basil
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
- Blanch broccoli in rapidly boiling water; plunge in cold water to stop cooking. Drain well and pat dry.
- Place broccoli and tomatoes in a skillet or wok over medium heat.
- Combine butter, lemon juice, honey, and basil. Pour over broccoli mixture and toss gently.
- Stir and cook until vegetables are heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serves 6-8.
