Biscuits and Sausage Gravy
An easy, quick breakfast treat.
- 1 lb. pork sausage
- 2 Tbs. flour
- 2 cups milk
- Ground black pepper salt is not needed, but a 1/2 tsp. sugar is tasty
- Season with a dash of red pepper sage, or fennel (optional)
- Refrigerated biscuits or homemade
- Break sausage apart into small pieces as it cook, stirring frequently. Stir in flour and gradually add milk. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, simmer a few more minutes, and season to taste. Serve over split biscuits.
