It’s hard for me to resist a street fair. I’m always astounded by the creative handwork of the various artists.
Last weekend more than 100 vendors brought the Best of Missouri Market to the Botanical Gardens parking lot. Nearly a 100 vendors offered handcrafted items, locally produced foods, and more.

Getting in the Halloween spirit.

I came, I saw, I purchased.

I ponder whether to buy the hot or mild Ghetto BBQ Sauce. I did a taste taste and went with the mild. Good stuff.

Freddie Lee’s Ghetto BBQ Sauce has been around since 1986 and grown an amazing fan club.

When I saw the many varieties of mini-pies from the Blue Owl Bakery in Kimmswick, I was hooked! I got a strawberry-rhubarb. What’s more, the Blue Owl went onto my “must-visit-again-soon” list.

Cutting into my Blue Owl purchase for dinner.

Flowers shaped from clay. Amazing!
Historic Shaw Art Fair
Visitors to the Missouri Market got a twofer. Just a block away, they could stroll beautifully tree-lined Flora Place for a concurrent event: the Historic Shaw Art Fair, that’s been held every fall since 1993

Though it was pleasantly warm, there was still a hint of fall along the street.

Booths were nicely spaced along the street.

This seasonally decorated house got a lot of attention, especially from the youngsters.
Great Fun!
Be sure to put these two events on your fall docket for 2022.
Gelt like I was there myself
Yes, it was a gorgeous day and everyone was enjoying the stroll.
Me too. Jean, you take us on wonderful outings. Thanks!
