Nearly every hole-in-the-wall with a hot plate is serving Sunday brunch these days. But some restaurants are putting pizzazz into their morning munch. Molly’s in Soulard offers a menu ranging from designer crepes to roasted Brussels sprouts to creme brûlée. The ample buffet is served from several spots within their spacious interior and meandering bar patio. Coffee house music from the 70s gives the place a cool vibe, as do the prompt, friendly servers.
As I glided along the buffet line, the Beatles were crooning “Here Comes the Sun.” I was swept back in time. If there’s a “Best Brunch Music Award” to be given, I nominate Molly’s.
