Christmas Eve, the prelude to Christmas Day, calls for various forms of celebration. For us it means gathering early for a visit from St. Nicklaus himself and a feast of food and sweets. This year, some among us later disbursed to travel to other family gatherings out of town, some to a tamale making with Hispanic friends, and others to a late night mass.

Santa paid a visit to Tom and Lisa’s houe, downed a few cookies, and read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas to the kids.

“I don’t think you have my name on the right list.”

A most unusual photo: me with my grand kids, plus Santa.
It’s Time to Eat!

Tom tosses the salad.

Lisa’s Vegetable lasagna along with sliced tenderloin and salmon filled the menu.

Tina’s Roasted Brie with Apple and Honey

Lisa’s Cheesecake with Raspberries
Just a few more gifts to wrap and tomorrow I’ll be ready to gather at Robin and JC’s for Christmas Day lunch. And it’s supposed to go up to 60 degrees tomorrow! Wow, what a treat that will be!
