I roamed around my son’s back yard this weekend enjoying the early signs of spring. My daughter-in-law was busy removing rosebushes that didn’t make it through the winter as I snapped photos of plants, trees, and spring flowers that had blossomed in recent days.

My granddaughters are becoming wild mushroom identifiers and often join their Aunt Robin on a mushroom hunt. They’ve learned that there are certain varieties you shouldn’t eat. The faux morel is an example. It’s best to wait patiently for the real thing that should be springing forth very soon.
