Bailey’s Range is all about burgers and shakes–100% grass-fed beef from Missouri raised cattle and homemade, all-natural ice cream shakes. “We make it here,” the menu boasts.
Owner Dave Bailey definitely takes his burgers seriously and see to the details that make a difference. There’s a sandwich on the menu for every taste: bison, lamb, pork, chicken, veggie, or gyro. You’ll want that sandwich with the house fries and a few of the assorted house-made sauces and toppings, such as balsamic caramelized onions, bacon jam, chipotle cashew butter, sriracha mayo, and black-peppered goat cheese.
I followed the lead of my granddaughters and included one of the small milk shakes with my burger lunch. The menu makes you feel like ice cream is a health food: “We only use real sugar. Never any corn syrup, stabilizers or anything artificial,” it reads in bold print. With more than 15 flavors, it was a tough choice to make. I finally settled on the small, chocolate version ($3.50), that was a perfect size for kids and for those…ahem…who profess to be watching their calories.
