How better to welcome the New Year then with a little sweat. I’m not sure that hanging out at the gym a few days each week does all that much for my body, but it sure helps my head. Besides, where else could I get by with wearing raspberry-colored shoes?
I have weights and even a treadmill at home, but I can find more excuses not to use them. When I make an appointment at the gym, its like a haircut or dental appointment, I show up. Besides there’s a social aspect to being around other exercising people, many of whom are seniors. After a vigorous workout, we sometimes go to lunch afterwards. Gotta replace those calories somehow.
