Those of you who have eaten at Winslow’s Home on Delmar know that while you’re standing in line, waiting to place your order, you spend time alongside a luscious showcase of sweets. There’s pastries, pies, cakes, candies, cookies, scones, donuts, European-style breads, French macaroons and more. The Lemon Goat Cheese Cookies caught my eye, so I had one added to my lunch order. It was divine!
That led me to scan the Internet for a recipe and there were several. Later that week, before my friend Cyndy came to visit, I made a batch of the cookies. I returned to Winslow’s and bought one more of their variety in order to stage a taste test. In no time, the two of us decided there was little difference in the cookies, except for the size. (Mine were more tea party dimension while Winslow’s was lunch box size.)
Making Lemon Goat Cheese Cookies
So how would I describe Lemon Goat Cheese Cookies? I’d say they have more tang and creaminess than most cookies. No problem there. Here’s the recipe if you want to try a batch on family or friends. Or buy one (or more) at Winslow’s before you do.
Enjoy with a cup of tea or a glass of milk.
